Known as kali, arnis, escrima – these centuries-old weapons-based combative systems were used throughout asia to defend against invaders and resolve local conflicts. This workshop will introduce participants to the empty hand aspects.

Learn how to use a tactical flashlight as a precautionary safety tool (where, when, and how to deploy) and how to clear an area for safe passage. In an attack situation, weapon-carry requires rapid deployment, knowledge of use, willingness to use, and defense against it if it is turned against you. Learn how to use as a self defense weapon against a violent attack.
